The Valle Grande Rural Institute is an organization working in the valleys of Cañete, Chincha and Pisco, as well as in the mountains of North Yauyos past 45 years conducting research and technology transfer in agriculture production.

The Promoter of Social Works and of Popular Instruction (PROSIP) established the Rural Institute Valle Grande in the year 1965. Since this date, Valle Grande has carried out activities of investigation and transference of productive technology favoring the organization of the agricultural producers, ensuring that they obtain competitive advantages in an economy of free market.

Also, Valle Grande is based fundamentally on the Christian concept of the human person, which sees men and women as intelligent and free beings and, thus, responsible persons who are called to look for their perfection in the midst of their ordinary occupations. Valle Grande is a corporate undertaking of the Personal Prelature of Opus Dei.

Juridical Constitution

The Rural Institute Valle Grande is a Center of Investigation, Extension and Agrarian Promotion established on February 25, 1965. It is recognized by the Department of Agriculture by means of Resolution N º 04383-AG-DGAG of June 2, 1983, and by the Department of Education by means of the Resolution N°0751-92-ED.
